PRAISE FOR HERE IN THE UNIVERSE

JIM EDWARDS, PROGRAM DIRECTOR OF RYVES YOUTH CENTER:
"I have worked with lost children for over 30 years. Many children grow up feeling lost, labelled and inferior. “Here in the Universe” speaks directly to those children. After Theater 7’s premiere performance at Ryves Youth Center many children spoke to me about what they had witnessed. Words such as "touching" and "important" were often used. It was clear to me that after watching “Here in the Universe” our children felt that they were not alone and that they could have a voice in this world."

WHAT THE CHILDREN OF RYVES SAID ON THEIR SURVEYS THIS AUGUST:
“My feelings in watching the playing went from sad to safe.” -13 year old about to enter 8th grade
“The play did not make me afraid that I am different.” -11 year-old about to enter 5th grade
“It taught me that you have to be yourself.  It made me feel different about myself.” -13 year old about to enter the 8th grade
